Who and What We Are:

My photography journey began like most landscape photographers, with a passion for the outdoors. But my story is more complicated than that…

I am a physician, with a passion for providing for others. But like most health care workers, the COVID-19 pandemic left more than a few scars on my wellbeing. I initially used photography as an escape from the busy and stressful work in the hospital. Quickly, photography developed in to more than a “side hustle” and bloomed in to a full passion.

While I am still passionate about caring for people in the hospital, I also love all things photography. When I first started providing services (photoshoots, weddings, fine art prints) I was told I needed to pick a “speciality”. Really hone in on one aspect or area of photography. To that, I say, hogwash. In medicine, I care for the entire patient and am a generalist by training. In photography, I strive for the same practice. My specialty or expertise is my camera and capturing subjects in the most authentic, candid way possible. I draw from my years of experience as a provider to connect with subjects in front of the lens, to bring out the best possible product, whether that be mountains, beautiful sunsets or a newborn smile.

BEAR:

Our lovable bernedoodle, brother to Ollie and cuddle-monster of all. Bears perfect day could be described as lounging on the couch, playing with his squeaky ball (and probably sleep 20 hours out of the day).

OLLIE:

Our… still lovable.. but quite mischievous Golden Retriever. Ollies perfect day would include a 15 mile hike scaling the equivalent of Mt. Everest, only to come home and still rummage through the garbage before ultimately settling on a nice pillow he may devour later.

ARI:

My wife, partner in crime and constant reminder that not all sunsets can be epic. Ari can often be found helping plan and execute our portrait shots, but is also an avid Pokémon catcher during the hours of downtime waiting for “golden hour”.
