Icon Series: Dream Lake at Sunrise
Another Dream Lake image, but it is an icon for a reason, right? Taken late in the summer season, I remember hiking to this lake and feeling the cool mountain air, indicating fall was right around the corner. Just as I was about to pack up from a cloudless sunrise, the sun rose high enough to finally illuminate Hallet Peak. The red glow from the distant Hallet Peak was unlike anything I had ever seen before. Lasting barely five minutes, the light was powerful as short lived. I’ve attempted to recreate this scene many, many more times and haven’t seen conditions like this since.
